In this film Piaget’s student, Dr. David Elkind, introduces the research methods and terminology of Piaget’s theories. He uses real life examples of student's thoughts and concepts. The archival materials also document the course of Piaget’s life.

I found this fascinating and enlightening. With the child who identified their hands incorrectly as left and right, my first instinct would have been to correct them. With Piaget's theories, it now occurs to me that at that age, the child's brain may not be developed enough to grasp complex concepts such as mirrored posing(as with the hands in the video), or spacial concepts(such as the example with amount of fluid in the different sized containers.)

I loved how passionately Piaget spoke on the importance of teaching children to be innovative and creative. We want them to know more than what we know; we want them to surpass us in knowledge and discovery. How do we do this?
